One of the directors in Connel Sports Management Private Limited, a sport firm based in India, Anand Santosh Surin, believes that with the new development taking place in Indian Super League, it could be the new English Premier League soon with big players already showing interest in staging their careers next season.

Surin said players are showing interest in the project of developing the Indian league and very soon it will be one of the most wanted leagues in the Asian countries.

“As an intermediary, I know the interest of many professionals in playing in the Indian Super League. When you talk about football facilities and conducive training environment for players, you can experience it, I know very soon, the league will be regarded and compared to English Premier League,” said Surin

Meanwhile, former Nigeria U-17 player, Ibrahim Connel, recently said Indian Super League is better than some leagues in Africa with the new face of development taking place in the league.

“We have talents in Africa, but the Indian league is more lucrative than some African leagues as we speak. In India, the local players play in the league because it gives them what they want unlike in Nigeria,” said Connel.
