Dangote Cement recently emerged as the “Most Outstanding Company” of the year by the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) for its contribution to the Nigerian economy.

Headed by Africa’s richest man, AlikoDangote, the Nigerian Cement company has distinguished itself from other companies through its support and sustained contribution to the development of the Nigerian economy, according to the president of the ACCI, Tony Ejinkeonye.

Dangote Cement has embarked on Pan-Africa operations with an investment of more than $4 billion. Its expansion projects include new integrated cement plants in Senegal, South Africa, Zambia, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Republic of Congo, Kenya and Nepal, Asia as well as import or grinding facilities in Cameroon, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
