…We received 27 kidnapping related petitions against Aluko from 2007-2015- DSS
…How he served Akpabio as best hitman for 8 years

The Department of State Security (DSS) will be summoning the Special Assistant to embattled Governor Udom Emmanuel on Security Matters, Mr. Anthony Luke (aka Aluko), to Abuja for questioning over his involvement in several high profile murder and kidnapping related cases from 2007-2015 . Aluko who also doubles as the Transition Secretary for EssienUdim Transition Committee is a known cultist and was for eight years the main hitman for former AkwaIbom state Governor, GodswillAkpabio. He hails from IkotUkoEtor, Okon clan in EssienUdim LGA of AkwaIbom State.

Desperate and determined to win the forthcoming rerun, Udom allegedly struck a deal with Aluko. Under the deal, Aluko as SA on Security is to profile, trail and go after political opponents of the Governor considered “stumbling block” to Udom’s reelection while the Governor on his own will place him on a #250 million monthly grant. The Governor also promised him protection by assigning some police and military escorts so as to give his office some perception of credibility and official cover.

The decision to appoint the wanted kingpin as SA on Security did not go down well with the Governor’s security aides who queried Udom’s decision to work with a wanted criminal, insisting such appointment will attract negative credibility, perception and image problem for the regime. The Governor was alleged to have pleaded with his Chief Security Officer (CSO) and his Chief Security Detail that his hands are tied as the appointment of Aluko as SA on Security was forced on him by Akpabio.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that classified security reports linking Aluko to high profile political related assassination, murder and kidnapping under the Akpabio regime were shown the Governor to justify why he should immediately reverse the infamous appointment and distance himself from the wanted assassin but were all ignored by the Governor.

According to a security source, a total of 27 petitions were received by the DSS against Aluko but the agency could not act on it or move against him because he enjoyed the protection of both Akpabio and ItaEkpeyong, the immediate past DG DSS. But the situation seems different under the present tenure of Daura as DSS boss.

“Any time there was someone considered a threat to Akpabio, all the former Governor needed to do was to turn around and ask Aluko if he could not take care of the ” matter ” and all he ( Aluko ) needed to say was ” Considered it done Your Excellency” and once he said that you can be sure that someone was going down. It’s unfortunate that Udom could ignore security advice and still go ahead and draft such a character into his government as security Adviser. I think Udom may not really be who he claims he is”, said a Government House source who pleaded anonymity .

Security reports reveals for the eight years Akpabio used Aluko as his main hitman, he tactically placed him at the Local Government in EssienUdim as a member of the Council administration all through the eight years of NseNtuen, the immediate past Council chairman and State ALGON boss rather than bring him officially too close to the state government. He only operated behind the scene for Akpabio. Aluko became a perfect pair with NseNtuen who was notorious for executing some of the major ” dirty jobs” of the regime.

It was not immediately clear if Aluko was whisked away to Abuja but a close associate of his insisted Aluko is not a kidnapper nor on the run but currently on vacation in his native Okon clan in EssienUdim.
