Breaking News: MTN’s Top Shot, Dola Bamgboye Is Dead

Again, death has silenced the cadence of the day with the quiet of the night. It has claimed the life of a jolly good fellow and MTN Nigeria’s Event and Sponsorship Manager of many years, Dola Bamgboye.

Yes, Dola is gone forever. His death reminds us of our dour humanity, and of the fragility of our hold on human subsistence. The world is indeed a stage and life itself is but a walking shadow. It is a permanent shuttle in the sepulcher, and what we have are fleeting memories, stilled mementoes, fraught memories and the fractured memorabilia of those who are gone forever, never to be seen again.

Multiple sources revealed to The Boss that the man who loved music and was humble to a fault reportedly slept soundly last night but never woke up.

The sad news has thrown family and friends into mourning because he was well-loved for his good nature and open-heartedness. He will be missed by the Nigerian social scene and entertainment industry.

Dola was indeed a jolly good fellow. I met Dola in 2000 two months to my resignation from Greenwich Trust LTD owned by Mr. Kayode Falowo and we remained friends occasionally running into each other at social events. Dola remained to same, ever young at heart and fun loving. It’s so sad but God knows best. Rest in Peace Bro.

These are not just write_ups but an epitome expression of who Uncle Dollar is to many people who had encounter with him. He is a true destiny helper, always full of humor and willing to help. Men of substance they say are not dressed in gold but it is when scratch them that you know they are made of gold. Good trees indeed dont last in the forest.MTN has lost a real gem, an epitome of their values, a strategist and a stooge. We will forever miss this Egbon of Life. Only God can comfort us and the entire family. Uncle Dollar
