In a new prophetic message shared with his congregation and followers on social media, the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has spoken about the political direction of Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to Ayodele, Jonathan will not be the one to return to the presidency, despite ongoing speculations in some political circles about his possible comeback. “Jonathan will not rule,” Ayodele said, stressing that the plans for the former president to take over power again will not succeed.
Instead, Ayodele revealed that Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 and 2023 elections, will be the major figure to challenge President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 election.
He explained that Atiku is preparing quietly, and those who think his political journey is over will be surprised by his resilience and determination to remain a central player in Nigeria’s political landscape.
The cleric also cautioned Tinubu not to underestimate Atiku’s influence and support base across the country. He warned that many political alignments, betrayals, and hidden strategies will emerge before 2027, and the ruling party must be careful if it wants to maintain.
Primate Ayodele ended his message by advising Nigerians to pray for peace and unity in the nation, adding that the 2027 elections will be very challenging and could determine the future stability of Nigeria’s democracy.
