All is now set for the coronation of Prince Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi as the 51st Ooni of Ile-Ife on December 7, Saturday Sun has exclusively gathered.
Prince Ogunwusi’s choice was ratified by the Osun State Government on October, 27 after due process by the kingmakers.
Barely 24 hours after the announcement, the Ooni-elect, a chartered accountant and estate magnate made a triumphal entry into the ancient city from Ibadan, Oyo State capital amid pomp.
He has since been in solitary confinement at Ilofi undergoing traditional rites and tutelage under the supervision of the Isoro cult members. The epoch ceremony is slated for the Enuowa Quarters, Ife with many activities already lined up.
Saturday Sun also exclusively gathered that many activities have been lined up for the ceremony, which will attract dignitaries across the world.
A press conference to announce the activities which include inter-religious prayers, convocation rally among many others are slated for next week in Lagos.
