1 Min Read

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu yesterday held a closed-door meeting with former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (Rtd) in Minna, the Niger State capital.

The two leaders met at the former Nigerian leader’s residence after Tinubu inaugurated the Agric Mechanisation Revolution Project of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago.

According to LEADERSHIP NEWSPAPER, President Tinubu spent over an hour discussing various national issues with his host.

It was also learnt that only Governor Bago was present at the meeting.

Babangida, according to Leadership, offered him (Tinubu) advice as a statesman and stressed the need to urgently walk the talk.

It was learnt that Babangida advised that all programmes of the government should be targeted at the common man and promised to make his door open to all leaders but insisted on maintaining the unity of the country.
