As the season urges me to pause and reflect, I find myself thinking about the people who have not only crossed my path but left imprints of KINDNESS, HONOUR, and INTEGRITY, one such man is Otunba Bimbo Ashiru.
I’ve known Otunba for close to 2 decades — a truly decent, amiable, and deeply compassionate man. I vividly remember a conversation we once had when he said to me, “Ola, you’re good at what you do, and I will find work for you at every opportunity.” He wasn’t just being polite; he meant it. And time and again, he’s proven that his word is his bond.
In a world where promises often dissolve with time, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru stands tall — consistent, dependable, and honorable. He has not only seen me but believed in me, and that means more than words can say.
Today, I honour him — not just for what he’s done for me, but for the kind of man he is. A builder of people. A light on the path. A true Omoluabi.
May we all be reminded that greatness isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it is simply being true to your word and lifting others as you climb.
“The legacy of a good man is not in titles but in the lives he quietly empowers.”
