Barcelona superstar, Lamine Yamal, now has another record to his name following their 2-1 win over Frankfurt in the Champions Leagu on Tuesday night.
Yamal’s assist for Jules Kounde means that he now has more goal involvements in the competition than any other player aged 18 or under.
Yamal’s setup for Koundé’s winning goal was his 14th direct goal contribution in the Champions League, comprising seven goals and seven assists.
Barca had to come from behind to get the three points against Frankfurt at the Spotify Nou Camp.
Ansgar Knauff put the Bundesliga side in front before the break.
But in the second half, two goals from Kounde sealed an important victory for the Catalans, with Marcus Rashford and Yamal bagging assists.
This remarkable tally moves him past Kylian Mbappé, who had registered 13 goal involvements (ten goals, three assists) before turning 19. With his 19th birthday not until next July, Yamal has ample opportunity to extend his record further in the competition.
