The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has shocked many people with a bold statement about his prophecies. Speaking during a Facebook live session on Sunday, August 17, 2025, he said:
“I don’t pray my prophecies come to pass.”
For a man known for making predictions about politics, leadership, and world events, the comment raised eyebrows.
But Ayodele quickly explained that he does not give prophecies to see them fulfilled. Instead, his words are meant to warn people about danger so they can avoid it.

He stressed that prophecy is often misunderstood. “Warnings—prophecy is not to threaten anybody. Some people see it as a threat, that what I am saying is doom,” he said.
The cleric gave an example to show what he meant. “When somebody says that tomorrow by ten o’clock, if you don’t pray very well, this will happen—that is not doom, that is a warning,” Ayodele explained. To him, prophecy is like an alarm bell, a message to pray and take action before trouble comes.
Ayodele also made it clear that his messages come from love and God’s instruction, not from a desire to scare people. “Those that God loves, He warns against impending danger,” he said, urging his listeners to see his words as guidance, not threats.
Closing his message, Ayodele repeated that he does not wish to see tragedy happen. “I want to tell you this: just listen to me. I don’t make negative prophecies. All my prophecies are to warn you. And I don’t pray they come to pass,” he concluded.
His words are already sparking reactions online, with many people debating whether prophecy should be seen as a warning or as a fixed prediction of the future.
