The Chairman of the Planning Committee, Ogun Pepe Memorialisation Committee, Dr James Ojebode, has expressed appreciation to all members of the committee for their ‘exceptional commitment and exemplary service during the commemorative anniversary.
The one-week event, held in Oyo, in remembrance of the war between Oyo and the British soldiers, was marked with different activities, including lectures, drama, among others.
Ojebode, elated by the success of the programmes, was full of appreciation to the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Abimbola Akeem Owoade I, Bishop Ayo Sanda Ladigbolu and members of the Ogun Pepe Memorialisation Committee.

“Under the visionary cultural leadership of the Alaafin and the wise, steady oversight of our Baba Bishop Ayo Ladigbolu, you have collectively delivered a ceremony that has drawn widespread admiration and positive feedback from participants and the larger community. Your teamwork, sacrifice, and unity of purpose were evident at every stage, and the success achieved stands as a testament to your dedication and professionalism.
“I wholeheartedly commend each member of the Committee for your tireless efforts, your loyalty to the cause, and your commitment to excellence. You have set a standard worthy of emulation and strengthened the foundation for even greater memorialisation in the years ahead,” Ojebode said.
