The Nigerian music industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of fast-rising singer Ifunanya, popularly known as Nanyah Music.
Naija News reports that the young artiste, who gained public attention after appearing on The Voice Nigeria, was said to have been bitten by a snake at her residence.
According to reports, the incident happened at home, after which she was quickly taken to a hospital for treatment.
Despite efforts by medical workers, she was later confirmed dead.
The news of her passing spread rapidly online, leaving fans, fellow artistes and music lovers in shock.
Nanyah Music was known for her strong vocals and growing presence in the Nigerian music scene.
She built a loyal following through live performances and regular engagement on social media, where she was reportedly active just hours before the incident.
Many of her fans and supporters have taken to social media to mourn her and share tributes, while awaiting official statements from her family or close associates.

In other news, Hollywood actress, Catherine O’Hara, popularly known for her roles in ‘Home Alone’ and ‘Schitt’s Creek’, has died at the age of 71.
Naija News learnt that O’Hara’s agency, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), confirmed her demise in a statement on Friday.
According to the statement, the thespian died at her home in Los Angeles’ Brentwood area, but the cause of death was not disclosed.
O’Hara, a Canadian native, began her career in improvisational comedy and enjoyed a decades-long career spanning film, television and stage.
