•“I am obsessed with Genevieve. She makes me wet!” – Ruth Eze

By Debo Popoola

Two years ago, the Nigerian government passed a law that criminalized any form of sexual relationship between people of the same gender. Also the law made it an offense for anyone to make sexual advances towards another person of same gender. When homosexuality was criminalized, the country received criticism from the western world and there were pressures from them to reverse it but the then administration of Goodluck Jonathan stood its ground in the face of global criticism. Ever since the law against homosexuality was passed into law, arrests have been made, especially among university students.

Recently, the fast rising Nollywood star, Ruth Eze, divulged her sexual obsession to Genevieve Nnaji. She confessed that though she has never been a lesbian before but she will become one if super star Genevieve Nnaji asks her out. She says:

“Only Genevieve Nnaji can make me throw caution to the wind and become a lesbian, but fortunately, she is not. I am obsessed with Genevieve. She makes me wet! If she tells me to become her partner today, I’ll apologize to God and jump at the offer.

“Anyway, I’m not a lesbian but I am not against them. If they believe they can stand the consequences (of their actions), then they can do whatever they like with their bodies. I have good boobs that both men and women admire and can’t seem to take their eyes off me. My fellow ladies always harass me, to get intimate with them, but I haven’t tried such.”

This confession by Ruth is a slap on the face of the law against homosexuality and if the law will be respected, she should be charged for making sexual advances on Genevieve
