The controversial cleric and senior pastor of Power City International, Dr. Abel Damina, recently sparked a range of reactions with his latest video, where he openly discussed the topic of Christians marrying more than one wife.
During an interview, he addressed a frequently asked question, sharing his perspective that marrying two wives is not a sin. His insights have prompted important conversations within the community about interpretations of marriage in a religious context.
Is Pastor Abel Damina encouraging Christian men into polygamous or what? Click link here to watch Video and continues reading the story
In his words: It is not a sin to marry two wives, because you have two wives does not stop you from relating with God. Your two wives does not stop Christ from relating with you perfectly. it’s your relationship with God that matters. However, your God still has a vibrant relationship with your two wives and your children, so it is not a sin.
Below are the reactions
So those who married many wives before, did they listen to Dr Abel Damina? Are pastors called to preach monogamy or Christ?

This man is an enemy of great Abel Damina because he never see any thing right in him. Many Christian marry more than one wife.

The Bible said to be Bishop you must be a husband of one wife there fore a non Bishop can marry more than one wife. You are contradicting your self.
Leave your sentiment and listen to Abel with open mind not with hatred.

that is when you have married two wives before knowing Christ . you don’t have to divorce anyone.because you have already married them before coming to know Christ.. but if you have known Christ and you want to marry a wife Jesus Christ advice us to marry one wife.. because in the beginning God made them one.man and one woman.. and for that a man shall live his father and mother and click to her wife and they shall become one..if you reject the words of Jesus Christ definitely you have rejected Jesus Christ himself.. because God honor his words more than his name..so when you have already in Christ and went ahead to marry two wives you have sin

If a man was polygamous before knowing Christ, that’s a different case. No redeemed man is permitted by God or by scripture to marry more than a wife.

Why are you so emotional? Pls separate scriptures from morality .
Always listen to Damina with an open and objective mind.
To my mind , you come across as one out to impress his spiritual fathers.
My disagreement with his statement is the blanket cheque he is giving on the matter. Jesus addressed God’s original design for marriage in Matthew 19:4–6 (and similarly in Mark 10:6–9), referring back to Genesis. Assuming Dr. Abel gave a caveats he would have some merit in his statement. You can’t be a Christian minister e.g. bishop, pastor, deacon or overseer and marry 2 wives; this become an aberration in the New Testament. Dr. Abel just like to bask in scriptural controversies.
