In a recent Facebook video, Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has issued a striking prophecy about Nigeria’s 2027 presidential race, warning that President Bola Tinubu could face a crushing defeat if a formidable opposition figure enters the contest.
The cleric claimed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is steadily losing the confidence of Nigerians, and even Tinubu’s established political influence might not withstand the momentum of change if the electorate becomes fully mobilized.
“If the ‘giant’ steps forward, not even a billion Tinubus can stop him,” Ayodele declared. “Nigerians will simply get tired of APC. They’re still asleep now, but they will wake up.”
The prophet asserted that there are credible contenders capable of unseating the current administration, but success would hinge on unity among opposition parties and well-calculated strategic moves. He reiterated a previous prediction that two politicians have the potential to defeat both Atiku Abubakar and Bola Tinubu, adding that one of them is “gradually emerging.”
Ayodele suggested that a coalition involving parties like the African Democratic Congress (ADC) could become a decisive force if they choose a strong vice-presidential candidate.
He listed former Senate President Bukola Saraki, ex-Kano governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, and former Sokoto governor Aminu Tambuwal as potential running mates who could tilt the scales.
“If President Tinubu allows them to pick these people with the giant person I’m seeing, he will just have 40%, and the giant will have 65 to 80% to defeat him.” he predicted.
The cleric’s message has stirred political discussions nationwide, with many interpreting his prophecy as a warning sign for the APC to reassess its strategies ahead of 2027. Ayodele urged party leaders to brace for what he described as “inevitable political shifts” in Nigeria’s future.
