Popular Arise News presenter Rufai Oseni has reacted to claims that he was suspended from his job, stating clearly that the report is untrue.
Naija News reports that the story began circulating online on April 14, 2026, after a post linked to High Chief Lawrence Igbins Okoro alleged that Oseni was punished by the station following an argument with a senior colleague.
The claim further alleged that the situation became heated, leading to an incident where a table was struck during the disagreement.
Oseni, however, took to his verified 𝕏 account to respond to the growing rumour. He dismissed the claim and made it clear that no such action had been taken against him by his employers at Arise News.
He explained that he is currently not even in Nigeria, adding that he is on an official trip to Germany for work-related duties.
According to him, the report about his suspension was completely fabricated and should not be taken seriously.
The broadcaster also called on members of the public to ignore the false information and report the account spreading it. He maintained that he is still fully engaged with his work and has not faced any disciplinary measure from the media organisation.
He wrote: “This is a lie, the man is lying. I was not suspended, I am on a working visit to Germany. This is fake news, kindly report that account.”
