A Chief Magistrate Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Wuse Zone 6, Abuja has ordered the remand of Popular Social media Influencer and former media assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, for defamation.

His worship, Chief Emmanuel Ayanna granted the warrant through an ex-parte order filed by the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun through his lawyer, Francis Gabriel, Esq on January 13th, 2025.
The Motion No: ME/07/2025 listed the Inspector General of Police as Applicant and Mr. Daniel Abraham, Mr. Enenche Idoga Alexander, Oboyinlo Enenche Peter and Mr. Reno Omokri as 1st to 4th Respondents. The court ordered the police to produce the respondents in court on January 30th, 2025.
