Staying true to her promise to bring subjects that are largely kept in the closet or at best discussed in a hush to the front burner of public discourse, former First Lady of Akwa Ibom State, Udy Umondak, has teamed up with Itoro Eze Anaba, founder, Mirabel Centre, the firsty Sexual Assault/Rape Referral Centre in Nigeria and second in West Africa.

Featuring on her self-styled programme, ‘The Udy Factor’ which shows on AIT between 9.00 and 9.30pm tonight and every Wednesday, this explosive and revealing edition is a must watch.

Every parent should be interested to know the tell-tale signs from an abused child who is shocked and shamed into silence. Mrs Anaba as well reels out amazing statistics from years of working with victims of sexual assault and rape, their struggle to overcome the trauma and stigma and how her centre is helping determined victims to get their life back.

This episode of The Udy Factor discusses the rise of sexual assault, rape, incest and also its increase in reportage in the media and to security s debut a talk show for adults and matured minds.

Udy Umondak is not new to TV production and talk shows. She previously had a career as an actress before delving into fashion design with an upscale fashion house named, Colours.

A production of Reel Gooseberry Media, past eposodes of the bold and audacious show had focussed on ‘some indignities that we all suffer as we approach menopause and andropause’ and other topical issues like ‘Marriage, the Law and Divorce’, ‘Sex’, ‘Domestic Violence’, which were given a clinical finish by experts and professionals in their field.
