…begs pirates not to indulge in the act of pirating his movie ‘The CEO’
Movie-maker Kunle Afolayan makes shocking revelation on how he owes a loan of N50 Million naira during the premiere of his mind-blowing and captivating new movie ‘The CEO’ which he first premiere in Air France flight to Paris and was later premiered in Lagos at the Eko Hotel & Suites on Sunday 10th, July 2016.
At the spectacular event with a red carpet session, cocktail and fashion show with the movie stars and crew in the audience, guests were joined by the minister of information and culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed who was accompanied by his wife, and Steve Ayorinde, the commissioner for information and strategy in Lagos.
Afolayan who welcomed all to the premiere spoke about how he got the loan from Bank of Industry, along with sponsorship from many organizations, appealed to pirates that he had 13 months to settle the debt. He begged them to allow the movie, mainly shot at Inagbe Grand Resorts, owned by the Ooni of Ife (Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi), to make its rounds in cinemas.
The CEO, earlier premiered on Air France and in Paris, features Angelique Kidjo (Republic of Benin), Wale Ojo (Nigeria), Jimmy Jean Louis (Haiti), Aurielie Eliam (Côte d’Ivoire), Nicolaos Panagiotopoulos (South Africa), Fatim Layachi (Morocco), Peter King (Kenya) and Nigerian stars Hilda Dokubo, Kemi Lala Akindoju, among many.
